Why this matters

A family runs on shared knowledge. The bank login, the school portal, the doctor's records, the streaming password, the recovery email for grandma's tax filing — dozens of accounts per adult, and the kids are starting their own. It lives in scattered places and in one person's head, and every piece is a target whose compromise reaches into the rest of the family. Keeping a household safe means capturing what the family knows, sharing the right things with the right people, recovering access when someone loses theirs, and never trusting a single device with the whole story.

Distance is the other half of the problem. Grown children live in other cities; parents grow older in their own homes. Families want to stay close — and to know, quietly, that the people they love are well. The same technology that lets seniors stay independent — phones, voice assistants, simple wearables — is also where scams reach them, and where families look for reassurance that today went OK. What adult children want from another city is simple: to stay connected and confident their parent is safe, without surveillance and without paternalism. We think staying connected across distance and across generations is a software problem worth solving.
